Lost in Translation

I spent the last weekend in Budapest to visit my sister and I have to say that it's not my favourite city! It was ok, and I saw a lot during the Hop-on/Hop-off Tour and walking around, but maybe my expectations were too high, because everybody I know was talking about how beautiful Budapest is.

Furthermore, I didn't think that it's possible to feel that kind of "lost in translation" in Europe, because the language is just really different. I was afraid to ask for the way, because I thought that people would laugh at me when the hear me say something in Hungarian :-D.

And now that I'm back, it already seems that winter is coming! It's way too cold for September and there also fell snow in some parts of Austria (not only on the mountains, also in the valleys - really strange!)

I went to Paris in feburary for 4days all by myself - it was an exciting/exhausting trip. First I didn't really like the city. There were many beggars, the people were unfriendly, it was dirty and the weather was bad. It was really cold and the sun was only shining one afternoon. But now when I look at the photos - I think I have to go there again :-) Winter is just not the right season for a city-trip!

Therefore I'm really looking forward to my short trip to Budapest. I will be there from thursday to sunday to visit my sister, who's making an internship there.

I just love strolling around town taking pictures, going to nice restaurants and just exploring a new city. So be prepared for some Budapest-photos next week :-)

Here are some more photos from our trip to Carinthia - we spent a cloudy day in Villach and Klagenfurt, where the outfit photos were taken. We were strolling around town, doing some sight-seeing, and having some mexican food. What I realized today was, that we never had a typical carinthian meal. I guess that means that we have to go there again to try it :-).

We came back yesterday evening from our short trip to Velden, Carinthia - we were really lucky concerning the weather, at least during the days. Unfortunately the sun seems to be very agressive -> we both are still having the sunburn of our lives :-). All in all, it was a great holiday and I definetly want to go back there again! More photos coming in the next days - Viki is busy because of her job and I'm leaving tomorrow for Salzburg for a 2day trip to visit a friend.

PS: We did use sunscreen! Spf 25!!

Only a couple more days until our 4-day trip to hopefully one of the most beautiful lakes in Austria (Woerther See). Although it's only a short trip, we're really excited and looking forward to a good time at the lake. Unfortunately the weather forecast doesn't look that good, but we're optimistic and nothing's gonna ruin our vacation :-). On friday will be a huge event - a "fete blanche" - just perfect to celebrate my 22nd birthday. You wouldn't believe how hard it was to find a white dress!

Summer is finally arriving in Vienna, and I thought it's a good idea to make a to-do list this year, because sometimes you forget about the little things that spice up your life.

Therefore my list consists of simple things, for example: I plan on having brunch more often with girlfriends, making ice-cream, trying new restaurants, visiting interesting exhibitions, and simply enjoying the warm weather.
